
Intro
Hi! I am Aixa. Music, dance and education are my passions and I have dedicated my life to training myself in these disciplines. When I am teaching and when I am performing, I share my joy with others.
I am a musician and a music educator with a focus in classical piano, piano pedagogy and music and movement.
I am also a dancer, trained especially in Spanish Dance and Flamenco.
I am a certified primary school teacher specialized in Music and English.
I have more than 10 years of experience, gathered in both Spain and in Finland, teaching children and adults (primary, international, and music schools); private students and teachers and music education students.
Additionally, I have a postgraduate diploma in teaching Spanish as a second and a foreign language.

I speak Catalan, Spanish and English fluently, and some Finnish.

Lessons
Piano lessons
Piano lessons for children and adults. We play songs and pieces according to the age, level and interest of the students and we work on technique especially through the repertoire. We also learn music theory with the instrument.
I use the Finnish piano school and books as a base for my teaching.
Level: beginner, intermediate and advanced
Location: Herttoniemi (Helsinki), student's house and online
Duration: 30, 45 and 60 minute lessons available

Music & movement for kids
These sessions are based in using the movement and body as a centre of the music learning. They are planned with different songs, games and activities from around the world to approach music and movement to children through speech and singing, nursery rhymes, rhythm exercises, movement and dance, exploration and creation to enhance their creativity and artistic and musical being.
Location: Kulosaaren ala-asteen koulu (free session only for students from the school) & Aleksanterin Teatteri, Helsinki
Duration: 45 and 60 minutes
Autumn season: Kulosaaren ala-asteen koulu (Tuesdays 15-15.45h), Aleksanterin teatteri (Thursdays 16.45-17.45h)

Flamenco dance for kids
Combined music and movement and flamenco dance lesson.
In the first part of the lesson we start with music and movement activities, songs and games from around the world and the second part is focused on flamenco dance: technique and choreographies.
Ages: for children from 3 years old
Location: Aleksanterin Teatteri, Helsinki
Spring season: Thursdays 16:45 - 17:45h, starting on Thursday 7th March 2024 until 13th of June

Flamenco dance for adults
Flamenco dance lessons for adults with a planned structure that goes from the technique (hands, arms, feet and body position) to learning the choreographies created for the group.
There is also an emphasis to the music in flamenco, its structure, the “compás”; we talk about flamenco culture and different songs and artists are introduced to the students.
Level: beginner and intermediate
Location: Aleksanterin Teatteri, Helsinki
Spring season: Thursdays 17:45 - 19:00, starting on Thursday 7th March 2024 until 13th of June

Teachers' Trainings
Training sessions for teachers and future music educators based on my training and professional development in music, dance, and music and movement pedagogies (Orff-Schulwerk and Dalcroze). Also workshops for kindergartens and schools.

English and Spanish lessons
Certified English and Spanish (as a second or foreign language) teacher. English and Spanish private lessons. The lessons cover comprehension (listening, reading), production skills (writing and speaking), grammar and vocabulary. We work from the students’ needs.
